So, if I'm reading this correctly, T'Rump Inc is going into a conservatorship. All those rent checks will be slipping through his tiny fingers until all other bills are paid.

I'd be surprised if TFG hadn't stashed some of his wealth "offshore". If he has to sell off his assets and has his corporate cash flow is shut off what's to keep him here? Instead of hawking "TRUMP 20-whatever" signs and flags there'll be giant flags emblazoned with the pic from his mugshot with the words (in all caps of course) I SHALL RETURN! Then the Q-verse will be rife with rumors of DJT uniting with JFK Jr. and return to lead them all to glory.

Maybe somebody can clarify this for me...I'm not sure of how the decision by Judge Engoron that found that Trump and his family business persistently and fraudulently overvalued and undervalued the same assets and his net worth in order to obtain better terms on loans and insurance, fits in to the $250 million fraud case brought by Letitia James. It doesn't sound like the Engoron decision is part of the civil fraud case.

In a civil trial, it is a two-step process. The first is a finding of fact regarding liability and (if liability is determined) then a separate proceeding to determine appropriate penalties. Engoron's decision was a summary judgment on the first element of the case (the facts) in which he ruled that the facts and evidence supporting Trump's fraudulent behavior are not in dispute and therefore a trial was unnecessary (same thing happened in the Fox News/Dominion case).

The only thing left to decide is the penalty. This last phase of the trial starts Monday in NYC despite Trump's efforts to delay it.
