Hurricane Joaquin

Dito
Don't take any chances be prepared. |
I think we dodged a bullet. The hurricane will stay offshore, though it has been raining for a couple of days and will likely rain for another day or two.

Some high tides here and a lot of wind. But, all in all....not bad.

Looks like NJ has gotten hit pretty hard with rains. Hope everyone on the east coast is ok.
|
Glad you east coast guys are safe, but can you give us some of our rain back now?
|
Watching the news over coffee and the giant 'atmospheric river' as they call it reminds me of the '97-'98 El Nino out here in California. We got five inches of rain in a half hour here.
Has the Federal government declared it a disaster area yet? |
I actually drove to the VB oceanfront this morning at 3 a.m...
Lots of wind but the rain had stopped. The waves were intense and the tide was high. There were cops there advising people to stay off the beach............. But, there were people on the beach anyhow. The worst part was the sand. With all of that wind it only took a few minutes to get that dang sand into everything. |
