Another nightclub shooting in Florida

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/n...ight/87518168/

I hear the argument that domestic problems are just as severe as Islamic radicals, yet nobody is talking about the latest major nightclub shooting in Florida. 2 dead and 14 wounded after a bunch of parents thought it was a good idea to let their minor children go out "clubbing".

Why is that conservatives always insist that the MSM isn't covering a story that they just read about in the MSM? FWIW, a Google search on "Florida Club Blu Shooting" yielded 1.25 million hits.

I would argue that the MSM is probably giving too much coverage to such shootings just to feed the narrative that violent crime is out of control in the nation. Violent crime is at its lowest point in 50 years:

When I said nobody was talking about it, I meant here on PC.
And yes, I'm well aware that violent crime is lower than it's been in many years. This is why the argument against guns every time there's and incident is so weak.

A lot of fodder for discussion goes unnoted here. I could probably start at least three threads a day on stuff I find interesting, but pare it down to an occasional topic when it's something particularly noteworthy.

And if this shooter had been white, I'm sure it would have been "particularly noteworthy"

It should be a good idea but in the NRA's America it isn't.

Too bad you can't hang this one on Muslims.

What is the point of discussing such events here on PC? We have the reasonable gun law group and the NRA members and never the twain shall agree.

I think it simply because we don't have many posters here.

I often come here looking for banter on a subject and there is none. I am then to lazy to start a thread. :(
