Is that beast tubed, Rob? Years ago, I acquired an older tubed Lafayette integrated that had pretty much been destroyed in a garage fire. I stripped it for whatever parts I could salvage. Amazingly, all of the tubes were still good and most were premium tubes that I sold for fat cash on ebay. Smoked glass Mullard 6BQ5s, black plate RCA 7025s (kept those) and Telefunken EZ80s.
In retrospect, I should have kept the Mullards and sold those RCAs. They would have been glorious in my Maggie 9302. But, I got $220 for the quad..................used. Dave |
Oh, NICE SCORE, BTW!

This receiver is from the early seventies, beyond the tube age. I like this receiver, and even more if the enclosure would have wood veneer instead of vinyl veneer.
Lafayette gear is difficult to find in Germany. |

Definitely no Sturmstaffel (SS) receiver! :D
My mind refered for decades just to the top killer section of the Führer when I encountered the abbreviation SS...that changed when I started to join AudioKarma. |
