Nipping Shooters in the Bud

If you had the chance to expend your adrenaline, would you do it?

I can not get my head out of why people are afraid of guns or why gun wielders might think that their guns give them power.

Our political situation feels like rediscovering the word narc. Thank you Cheech and Chong.

People should be afraid of firearms. But respectful and trained. Just like most fears or prejudice's it comes from ignorance. The not knowing.
Now to the welding of guns, it is the same mindset of a bully. Intimidation on to others to fulfill a sense of weakness on their part be my guess.

This is a gun owner for fifty some odd years speaking. A life time permit for 25+ years and can count on one hand and have finger left. The number of times I had a pistol in my pocket other then at the range.

Sorry but the average American can't be trusted not to shoot their nuts off in a drunken stupor. Look at who they elected president.

If you want to hunt or just plink, you should prove you aren't a liability to your neighbors and you should carry insurance. Another thing, no mil-spec weaponry, no exceptions, period.

Been to the gun range have you?

Yes any idiot can own a weapon it now seems.

I agree one should prove they are smarter then the weapon in hand. Carry liability insurance too!

Mil spec? My 1911's fit's in there too. Now the 556 ain't going nowhere as long as there are elected officials.

Your comment about the average American cracks me up in a good way. Perhaps here is a point that a majority of us can agree on.

The average American has too many tools to master. Matters not whether the tools are for shooting, woodworking, gardening, music making, wireless communication, etc. On average all of us have too many tools to master one or two of them.

I remember watching Bryant Gumbal trying to use a cordless screwdriver when they were getting popular. His grip was weak and he stripped screw heads. Pissed me off! I thought holy cow, that guy should not own tools!

In my mind the bottom line is that tools amplify our efforts. We might do better by deciding where we want to expend our respective efforts than deciding how to budget for more tools that amplify our unprincipled efforts.

Would not the average Trump voter own more firearms?

Are you implying that Hillary didn't appeal to average Americans? She won the popular vote.

BTW, it takes but a single gun to shoot your nuts off. :p
