The scum sucking pig pardons Arpaio.

Arpaio Pardoned

If you are a political ally of Donald Trump you now know that you are above the law. Any convictions won by Mueller will be pardoned.

Will the GOP applaud it? Will Ryan and McConnell ignore it? Yep.

Pandering his base for adulation, just as with the transgender military ban and wasting resources on the stupid border wall. It's getting easier to despise his Trumpkin enablers.

they both should be busting rocks and scooping up horse manure in Arizona! Bastard...

Timing of this despicable act is very suspicious, most all of network TV is going to be focused on Hurricane Harvey over this weekend. As for the GOP, even McCain's comment was very tepid.

One good point, as little as it be. The acceptance of the pardon in so doing also acknowledges guilt of the crimes.

But what does it mean?

It means that any business or political ally of Trump's or any Trump family member is above the law. They can do whatever they please and if caught will be pardoned. The power is absolute. Stephen Miller can walk into a synagogue and shoot a bunch of fellow Jews he hates in the head...and he can be pardoned. In the case of the Mueller investigation, they will likely be pardoned even before charges are brought. They can be pardoned even before they being ordered to testify. They can simply ignor a subpoena or even a court order to appear and testify, and be pardoned before they can be charged.

If he starts pardoning anybody who can hurt him, will Congressional Republicans allow Trump to subvert the entire American legal system? Because the power of a presidential pardon is absolute. They only way to stop the abuse of it, which I believe qualifies as a High Crime (and I believe the pardoning of Joe Arpaio constitutes that level of abuse)...is removal from office.

No it doesn't, although pleading guilty does.

Pfft. Another nothing-burger. From my perspective, this is a great way to save a few bucks. The most jail time the guy would have faced is 6 months of jail time. He's 85 years old and no longer a sheriff. Now he fades away to obscurity.

The only useful purpose Arpaio serves at this point is giving the left something else to rant about. However, when you look at the cast of misfits and scumbags pardoned by prior Presidents, Aprio's offence pales in comparison. This was a jab in the eye to the Prez's political opponents. Period.

Right, so old nazis ought not be brought to justice for their crimes against humanity either, in whell's sick mind. You're as disgusting as your Dear Leader.

Fuck off. The sick fuck has decided that his family and his political allies are above the law.
