When the sociopaths come to power...

When Republican voters like Whell continue to support their favorite conservative Republican congressman and Senators. While permanent damage is being done through continued collusion with Vladimir Putin. So in just the last few weeks we see how the policy of this government is being framed...

Trump calls for Russia to be re-admitted to G7...
Trump calls for recognizing Crimea as a legitimate part of the Russian Federation...
Trump keeps his campaign period promise to Putin and cancels all military exercises in S. Korea...
Trump attempts to dismantle the EU by bribing Macron into a Frexit, promising better trade deals with this country...
Trump threatens to pull this country out of NATO...
...all things that Putin has told Trump he wants.

And we will hear from certain anti-Trump Republicans how they don't support any of this. And simultaneously we will see how they will continue to support Republican politicians in the US Congress, continue to support Republican politicians in their state legislatures, and continue to support local Republican politicians all up and down the line. The Republican politicians who allow Trump's distructive and criminal behavior to continue unabated.

All of this, whatever catastrophe comes of this if something doesn't happen soon to stop it, is on Republican voters who support Congressional Republicans. Donald Trump is a sick neurotic megalomaniac fascist who has managed to gain power through the same fascist strategies as Mussolini and Hitler...but Republican voters? Republicans who support Donald Trump at a rate of over 80%? Worse. Way fucking worse. They sit there looking the other way because of some partisan political bullshit nonsense about liberals taking over the country. They keep Congressional Republican co-conspirators in power which keeps Donald Trump in power, and it's been obvious for a long time now. We all know Trump in power is what white christian Republicans, who see themselves as "oppressed", and who don't want a better economy, don't want jobs, and really want dominance over the culture and politics of this country, actually want. MAWA is what they want.

Their red hats are no different from the blackshirts, the Camicie Nere in Italy in the 1920's and the brownshirts, the Sturmabteilung in Germany in the 1930's. The only difference is that these days they're not anti-communist and anti-Semitic, they're anti-Mexican, anti-Muslim, and anti-Semitic.

For Trump supporters, his authoritarian tendencies are a feature, not a bug. The one "statistically significant variable predicts whether a voter supports Trump—and it’s not race, income or education levels: It’s authoritarianism."

The country is gone. Face it with Russia getting just what they want from the Corrupblican's, I fear the country will never see an election not tainted with questionable results. With nothing done. For the courts and congress are rigged.

Authoritarianism is the instinct that says the strong should lead, we should follow them, and might truly does make right. It's an instinct we've been trying to evolve away from for the last few thousand years. But instincts are stubborn things, and at the moment we seem to be backsliding again.

The Republicans as a whole have always been in search of a Dictator, King to rule. Now they have one who will not leave willingly.
