A massive deficit will be President Donald Trump's legacy, financial strategists are warning as the U.S. budget is expected to rise to accommodate the government's spending plan.

"My view is that this fiscal expansion is probably the most foolhardy escapade in modern economic policy history," Albert Edwards, an ultra-bearish global strategist at Societe Generale, said in a client note Wednesday.

While agreeing that he felt U.S. corporate taxes were anomalously high, Edwards criticized the timing of the fiscal stimulus as "utterly ridiculous" and warns it "will only accelerate the collapse of U.S. financial markets as the Federal Reserve hikes rates even more quickly."

With the current growth picture in the U.S. — unemployment at a 17-year low and wages and company earnings steadily strengthening — a double-dose of fiscal stimulus is the last thing that is needed and threatens to seriously overheat the economy, numerous analysts and politicians are saying...

"U.S. wage and price inflation are rising briskly, putting intense downward pressure on financial markets," Edwards said in the note, adding that "the post-mortem will identify President Trump's ludicrously timed fiscal stimulus as a key trigger for the collapse."

There's no universal agreement on that. Here's a more balanced view.

To paraphrase Ms. Green: Inflation will likely move higher in the next couple of months, but then level off and likely stay below the Fed's target inflation numbers.

Your two-sentence retort to the broadly-supported conclusion that the tax package was unneeded and undesirable stimulus at the wrong time in the economic cycle starts with "The whiff of inflation sent the stock market tumbling recently." Very weak tea.

Its weak only if you listen to the first 10 seconds of the 3:45 minutes, which seems to be part of your M.O. No wonder you only seem to understand little snippets of larger issues and topics. And I even presented the clip as a "balanced perspective". What a tool you are!

You have undying loyalty for a president* who refuses (or is too ignorant) to read his daily intelligence briefing, tweets inflammatory nonsense constantly, watches “Faux & Fiends” for his “news”, refuses to take the national threat from the Russians seriously, and lies, on average, 5.5 times/day.

Who’s the tool?

The person who makes nearly EVERY SINGLE POST about Trump. I could post a topic about why the sky is blue, and some here would find a way to blame the current occupant in the WH for it. That's who the tool is...

...right along with folks like you who would probably agree with it.

I spit out my coffee over this! The one person who makes everything about Trump is Trump himself! He’s the narcissist in chief.

The Russians interfered with our elections, and what does this moron do? Nothing, except call it “fake news”, as he’s afraid it means he was not elected legitimately.

Wake up, Whell!

I'm the one who understands only little snippets of issues? You're the Trumpkin, something that requires a profound level of ignorance and sycophancy, not to mention a steady diet of fake news.
